Writing to Heal Course
Your journey back to you.
Who am I to teach this course?

I am an experienced early childhood educator and publisher who has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of story, learning and wellbeing. My work is shaped not only by my professional expertise, but also by my own healing journey, where writing became a steady place to return to through seasons of grief, beginning in childhood, burnout, major health issues and big life transitions.

As the founder of Seed and Sage Publishing I have guided countless authors through the vulnerable process of shaping real experiences into children’s books, journals and educational resources. Having experienced firsthand how powerful and tender it can be to put hard things into words, I am skilled at holding space for big feelings, hard stories and hopeful endings, helping creators transform lived experience into language that is safe, age-appropriate and empowering.

I have also curated programs that have brought authors, educators, families and community together around the healing power of story. Across workshops, panels and school events I have facilitated conversations about grief, change, identity and courage in ways that feel accessible, practical and grounded, always inviting rather than pushing participants to share.

Alongside publishing, I am designing a curriculum and leadership programs that prioritises emotional literacy, reflective practice and compassionate communication. This Leadership framework and ongoing work is being created with teachers, parents and children built on the belief that stories are one of the most powerful tools we have to heal, connect and grow and that lived experience and professional training belong side by side.

Writing to Heal brings all of this experience together. Drawing on my own ongoing practice of using words to move through life, Writing to Heal is a gentle, structured and trauma-aware space where participants can explore their narratives at their own pace. My approach is warm, grounded and deeply informed by years of listening to children, families, authors and everyday people, uniquely guiding them as they write, and re-write, the stories of their lives.
